Announce Improvements to our Process for Leasing District Facilities to the Public

Hello Hockinson community— 

Hockinson School District is excited to announce improvements to our process for leasing district facilities to the public.

Beginning March 1, all facility requests will go through Facilitron, an online platform that will simplify the process and provide our users with more options for managing their requests. A link to the Facilitron application will be posted on our

HSD has not raised the price of facilities rentals since 2004, and as part of our review of the facilities rental process, we have decided to implement a two-stage pricing increase. On March 1, we will transition to a pricing schedule similar to the current one, and on Aug. 1 we will implement the new schedule to cover 100 percent of actual costs. These new fees will cover costs to the district, including human monitors, custodians, utilities, general upkeep and administration.   

Some aspects of our facilities rental process will not change: HSD will continue providing access to Hockinson student groups at no cost, to non-profits at 50 percent of cost and to commercial organizations at full cost.

HSD will host an orientation, demonstration and Q&A regarding the Facilitron platform at 6 p.m. Feb. 27 in the Hockinson High School Library.
