December Menus are on Nutrislice

Our food focus this month is on Root Vegetables.  

These cousins to the cruciferous vegetable family provide ample disease fighting antioxidants, Vitamin C, and potassium, and can be easily roasted, boiled, or mashed like a potato.

Due to their hardy nature, root veggies can survive cold weather, and can be stored in the refrigerator for up to a month! They are a cost effective option for winter nutrition in cold climates when little else is growing.

If you'd like to make a payment to your student's food service account, you can pay at any school with cash or check (which can easily be split among siblings), or you can make online payments through our Skyward system. 

As always, please feel free to come join us for a meal.  Simply check in at the office of whatever school your student attends, and visit us for lunch or breakfast. 

Check out the video below for more information about our Hockinson Nutrislice app.  The app can be downloaded for free through the App Store or Google Play, and menus can be accessed online or on your mobile device for the whole month as well.

A request: 
Please, when possible, ask your student to make deposits to his or her account during breakfast or off-meal times.  Making deposits during the lunch rush can slow the line and limit students' time for eating and relaxing.  Another great alternative is to make payments via the web!
